As the 7122 and the 7132 are both Generac pressure washers, they benefit from the same level of quality and attention to detail.

Power Comparison

  • Fuel: Both units are gas-powered pressure washers.
  • Engine & Pump: The Generac 7122 and the Generac 7132 both use an axial-type pump to put water under pressure. These 2 pumps are manufactured by Annovi Reverberi. The pump on the Generac 7122 is powered by a 196 cc engine, while the Generac 7132 uses a 173 cc engine. While these two devices can both start thanks to a conventional pull-start mechanism, the Generac 7132 has the advantage of also being able to get running via a convenient electric starter.

The following charts are provided to show you at a glance how the main specs of the Generac 7122 compare to the Generac 7132.

  • Pressure: With very similar maximum reachable pressures (3200 PSI for the Generac 7122 and 3100 PSI for the Generac 7132), both devices should do an equally good job at lifting and blasting off dirt.
  • Water Flow: When operating at low pressure, the 7122 can generate a higher maximum volume of water than the 7132. It can deliver up to 2.7 GPM (gallons per minute), whereas the 7132 offers a maximum water flow of 2.5 GPM. The former should thus allow you to rinse away dirt and debris with better efficiency and speed.
  • Cleaning Power: With its 8640 C.U. (Cleaning Units = PSI x GPM), the Generac 7122 offers a higher overall cleaning efficiency than the 7132 and its 7750 C.U.

Design Comparison

  • Design: Both units are constructed with a hand truck design. Therefore, if either of these 2 devices should provide better mobility, it would be due to its wheels and weight (which we detail just below).
  • Weight: With an approximate weight of 58.1 lbs, the 7132 is slightly less heavy than the 7122 (which weighs around 62 lbs).
  • Maneuverability: Both products benefit from a set of wheels, which greatly contributes to their maneuverability. Both offer a rubber-padded handle, which improves your grip when you wish to move them.

Feature Comparison

  • Soap Addition: Both washers allow for the addition of chemical detergent solutions to the water. Whether you choose the 7122 or the 7132, you'll be able to store your cleaning chemicals in the unit's onboard soap tank. Their soap capacity is equal, as the tanks of both units can hold 0.5 gal of detergent.
  • Trigger Gun & Wand: Each of these 2 units comes with a PowerDial trigger gun and a classic wand.
  • Nozzles: Both pressure washers come with 0°, 25°, 40°, and soap nozzles, but the nozzle similarities stop here. The 7122 also has a turbo nozzle.
  • Reach: With its included 30 ft high-pressure hose, the Generac 7122 will allow you, out of the box, to move farther away from the unit than the Generac 7132 and its 25 ft high-pressure hose.
  • Storage: The 7122 and 7132 both offer onboard storage that allows you to neatly keep the accessories you need at hand. Both washers feature a set of hooks to help you neatly store their high pressure hoses when not in use.
  • Accessories: In addition to the usual set of included accessories, the Generac 7122 also comes with Soap Blaster and Power Broom.
