Power Comparison
- Fuel: Both units are electric pressure washers.
- Engine & Pump: The Sun Joe SPX1000 and the Sun Joe SPX200E both use an axial-type pump to put water under pressure. The Sun Joe SPX1000's pump is powered by a 11.5-amp motor, while the Sun Joe SPX200E uses a 10-amp motor. Both motors are of the Universal type.
The following charts are provided to show you at a glance how the main specs of the Sun Joe SPX1000 compare to the Sun Joe SPX200E.
- Pressure: With a maximum reachable pressure of 1450 PSI, the Sun Joe SPX1000 provides a slightly higher force to blast off dirt and grime than the 1350 PSI of the Sun Joe SPX200E.
- Water Flow: These 2 units offer the same maximum water flow. Each of them should be able to deliver a maximum of 1.45 GPM (gallons per minute) and to offer the same rinsing power.
- Cleaning Power: With its 1253.5 C.U., the Sun Joe SPX1000 offers a slightly higher overall cleaning efficiency than the SPX200E and its 1148.4 C.U.
Design Comparison
- Design: With their compact design, both units are constructed with a strong focus on portability in mind.
- Weight: At 9.2 lbs, the SPX200E is somewhat lighter than the 11.7 lbs of the SPX1000.
- Maneuverability: Because the SPX1000 has a set of wheels, it is easier to move once on the ground than the SPX200E, which lacks wheels. Both offer a handle, which improves your grip when you wish to move them.
Feature Comparison
- Soap Addition: Both washers allow for the addition of chemical detergent solutions to the water. Out of the box, however, both units allow this only with the attachment of a foam cannon.
- Trigger Gun & Wand: Each of these 2 units comes with a fairly standard ergonomic trigger gun and an adjustable wand.
- Nozzles: Neither of these 2 pressure washers come with nozzles. This is due to the fact that their aforementioned wands remove the need for any.
- Reach: Both products include a 20 ft high-pressure hose. Therefore, neither of them will, out of the box, allow for a higher freedom of movement around the unit. As both units feature a 35 ft power cord, their maximum allowable placement from an electrical outlet is the same.
- Storage: Sadly, neither the SPX1000 nor the SPX200E features an onboard storage space for the accessories we may need when cleaning. While the SPX200E doesn't offer any convenient way to store its pressure hose, the SPX1000 provides a handy set of hooks.
