Power

The A-iPower APW2700C

Powered by a 196 cc (6 hp) engine, its aluminum axial cam pump can deliver a pressure of 2700 PSI (around 45 times more than a standard garden hose) and a flow of up to 2.3 GPM (values claimed by the manufacturer). Combined, these values mean that the A-iPower APW2700C has a cleaning power of 6210 Cleaning Units.

The Senci engine of this gas-powered pressure washer gets started by a classic pull-start mechanism.

The fuel is stored in a tank, which can hold up to 0.95 gallon of gasoline.

Design & Handling

With its hand truck design and approximate dimensions of D28 x W17.5 x H33 in, the A-iPower APW2700C provides great mobility. The robust steel tubing frame guarantees longevity of the assembly. The rubber-padded fixed handle adds to the APW2700C convenience of transport, while offering a comfortable grip.

The device can be maneuvered with ease by most, since it only weighs 57 lbs. A major component of its weight are its 196 cc Senci engine and steel tubing frame. Nethertheless, thanks to its two 8" never-flat wheels, the APW2700C remains very easy to manipulate and maneuver.

  • With a maximum pressure output of 2700 PSI, the A-iPower APW2700C finds itself in the expected pressure range among gas-powered units that cost between $110 and $260. If the highest possible power of the water stream is your priority, one of the champions in this price range is the Ryobi RY803111 with 3200 PSI.
  • As this washer can produce a flow of water of 2.3 GPM (gallons per minute), it is average in terms of water volume for the above-mentioned price range. If being able to rinse away debris as efficiently as possible is your priority, one of the products with the highest GPM in this price range is the Powerhorse 750143, with 2.5 GPM.
  • With the APW2700C's 6210 Cleaning Units (PSI x GPM), its cleaning efficiency range may be considered average, compared to gas-powered units of similar price. If you consider the highest overall cleaning power as a really important factor, the Ryobi RY803111 and its 8000 Cleaning Units has one of the highest cleaning efficiency of all the similarly priced units.
