Zoom on the Champion 100790

In a nutshell, the Champion 100790 is a heavy duty, commercial pressure washer, which not only offers an all-around versatile cleaning experience, but that also allows:

  • spot cleaning of hard, unpainted surfaces or high reach areas
  • thorough cleaning of hard, paint-free surfaces
  • cleaning of painted and frail surfaces
  • applying detergent and cleaning solutions

Its power characteristics and design, its main features and all its additional features are presented ahead.

Power

The Champion 100790 in use

The Champion 100790

With a powerful 389 cc engine, its brass triplex pump delivers a pressure of 4200 PSI (roughly 70 times more than a standard garden hose) and a flow of up to 4 GPM (values claimed by the manufacturer), resulting in the Champion 100790's cleaning power of 16800 Cleaning Units.

A classic pull-start mechanism is responsible for starting the gas-powered pressure washer’s Champion engine.

The fuel is stored in a steel tank, which can hold up to 1.6 gallon of gasoline.

Design & Handling

The wheelbarrow design of the Champion 100790 grants mobility and stability to the unit. The robust and sturdy steel frame offers longevity to the assembly. The reversible handle offers further versatility, as its different positions make the unit less bulky when stored.

At 124.6 lbs, we can't really say that the unit is a lightweight, and manually lifting or transporting it could be a challenge. The major reasons for its heavy weight are its 389 cc Champion engine, the triplex pump and steel frame. However, the device’s two 10" never-flat wheels play a key role in its maneuvrability, as they allow it to be manipulated smoothly.

Main Features

The Champion 100790's package includes a spray gun, a wand, a pressure hose, 5 nozzles and a detergent injection feature, with a more detailed description below.

  • Soap injection: Detergent is stored in a 1 gal tank. The Champion 100790 has an automatic soap dilution mechanism, which dilutes the detergent using a 12:1 ratio. When a soap nozzle is connected, the detergent will be added automatically to the water.
  • Pressure hose: The 50 ft ⌀5/8" high-pressure hose, which is included with the device, can be stored neatly on the unit itself when idle, using a set of easy-to-use straps.
  • Spray gun and wand: A side hook enables you to easily store the included classic ergonomic spray gun and its wand.
  • Nozzles: The 5 nozzles included with the device, and the respective surfaces which they’re the most suitable for, are shown in the following table.
