The ECHO PW-3100 is a heavy duty pressure washer, and enables:
- focused spot cleaning on hard, unpainted surfaces, accessing high spots, and efficiently eliminating stubborn stains
- complete cleaning of hard surfaces, vehicle washing, and surface prep for painting
- gentle cleaning for sensitive surfaces, and wide coverage cleaning with low pressure
- using cleaning solutions, and rinsing surfaces to remove residue
Its power characteristics and design, its main features and all its additional features are presented ahead.
Power
With an impressive 212cc (7 hp) engine powering it, the axial cam pump of this unit is capable of achieving a pressure of 3100 PSI (approximately 52 times greater than that of a standard garden hose) and a flow rate of up to 2.5 GPM (values claimed by the manufacturer). Corresponding to these values is a cleaning power of 7750 Cleaning Units.
The Rato R225 engine of this gas-powered pressure washer is initiated by a classic pull-start mechanism.
Fuel for the pressure washer is housed in a tank capable of holding up to 0.95 gallon of gasoline.
Design & Handling
With its hand truck design, the ECHO PW-3100 provides excellent maneuverability. The durable steel frame of the assembly ensures its longevity, providing stability and shielding internal components from damage, even in tough conditions. The reversible handle offers further versatility, as its different positions make the unit less bulky when stored.
At 77 lbs, this unit's substantial weight makes it quite a challenge for users to lift and maneuver, particularly on uneven surfaces where its heft can become even more apparent. A key role in its final weight is played by its 212cc Rato R225 engine and steel frame. However, the incorporation of two 12" never-flat wheels makes navigating the PW-3100 less cumbersome, even on uneven terrain.
Main Features
The ECHO PW-3100's package includes a spray gun, a wand, a pressure hose, 4 nozzles and a detergent injection feature, with a more detailed description below.

- Pressure hose: With a set of convenient hooks, the unit offers a practical solution for maintaining workspace order, allowing the included 25 ft ⌀3/8" high-pressure hose to be neatly stored when idle.
- Spray gun and wand: Both the classic ergonomic spray gun and its wand may be conveniently stored in a side hook.
- Nozzles: Review the table below to learn about the 4 included nozzles and the surfaces they're recommended for.

The following charts are provided to give you an idea of how the key specs of the ECHO PW-3100 compare to similarly priced pressure washers.
- The ECHO PW-3100, boasting 3100 PSI, achieves a lower pressure compared to other gas-powered pressure washers in the $600-700 price bracket. In case you are looking for a device with the highest possible power of its water stream, one of the top achievers in this price range is the Westinghouse WPX3800 with a PSI of 3800.
- The achievable water flow of this washer, which reaches 2.5 GPM (gallons per minute) can be described as low, compared to other devices in its price range. If your priority is efficient debris removal, consider one of the products with the highest GPM in this price range, such as the Westinghouse WPX3800, boasting 3.6 GPM.
- The PW-3100 has 7750 Cleaning Units (PSI X GPM), which can be considered low in comparison to other gas-powered devices of this price. If the highest overall cleaning power is a priority, the Westinghouse WPX3800 and its 13680 Cleaning Units are notable for their higher potential cleaning efficiency compared to units in the same price range.
Price comparison
As you can see from these interactive charts, when compared to other gas-powered washers between 7500 and 8000 Cleaning Units, the ECHO PW-3100 is on the expensive side of the price range.
