Description
Zoom on the ECHO PW-3100
The ECHO PW-3100 is a heavy duty, commercial pressure washer, and enables:
- spot cleaning of hard, paint-free surfaces and out-of-reach areas
- intense cleaning of hard, unpainted surfaces
- cleaning of painted or delicate surfaces
- application of detergent and cleaning solutions
Its power characteristics and design, its main features and all its additional features are presented ahead.
Power
Its axial cam pump, which utilizes a powerful 212cc (7 hp) engine, may deliver a pressure of up to 3100 PSI (almost 52 times more than a standard garden hose) and a flow of up to 2.5 GPM. These values correspond to a cleaning power of 7750 Cleaning Units.
The Rato R225 engine of this gas-powered pressure washer gets started by a classic pull-start mechanism.
A fuel tank with a maximum capacity of 0.95 gallon is used to store gasoline.
Design & Handling
The ECHO PW-3100 is very mobile, due to its hand truck design and approximate dimensions of D23 x W22 x H43 in. The robust steel frame guarantees longevity of the assembly. The reversible handle offers further versatility, as its different positions make the unit less bulky when stored.
The device can be maneuvered with ease by most, since it only weighs 77 lbs. One of the largest contributors to its weight are its 212cc Rato R225 engine and its steel frame. However, the two 12" never-flat wheels allow the PW-3100 to be easily manipulated and maneuvered.

The following charts are provided to give you an idea of how the key specs of the ECHO PW-3100 compare to similarly priced pressure washers.
- The ECHO PW-3100, a device which can produce up to 3100 PSI, is on the lower end of the pressure spectrum, among the gas-powered pressure washers in the $500-600 price range. If your priority is the highest possible power of the water stream, in this price range, we suggest checking out the Simpson PS60995, which reaches up to 3600 PSI.
- In the aforementioned price range, the GPM (gallons per minute) of this washer, which can reach 2.5, can be considered in the average. If maximum rinsing efficiency is your top priority, one of the devices with the highest water flow in the same price range is the Lifan LFQ3370E, with a GPM of 3.
- The PW-3100 has 7750 Cleaning Units (PSI X GPM), which can be considered low in comparison to other gas-powered devices of this price. When it comes to the highest overall cleaning power in the current price range, one of the products at the very top currently is the Lifan LFQ3370E and its 9900 Cleaning Units.
