Zoom on the ECHO PW-4200
The ECHO PW-4200 is a heavy duty, commercial pressure washer, and enables:
- spot cleaning of hard, unpainted surfaces, reaching high areas, and removing stubborn stains
- complete cleaning of hard surfaces, vehicle washing, and surface prep for painting
- gentle cleaning for sensitive surfaces, and wide coverage cleaning with low pressure
- applying detergent and cleaning solutions, and rinsing surfaces
Its power characteristics and design, its main features and all its additional features are presented ahead.
Power
With a powerful 389cc (13 hp) engine powering it, the triplex pump of this unit is capable of achieving a pressure of 4200 PSI (approximately 70 times greater than that of a standard garden hose) and a flow rate of up to 4 GPM (values claimed by the manufacturer). Corresponding to these values is a cleaning power of 16800 Cleaning Units.
The Honda GX390 engine of this gas-powered pressure washer is initiated by a classic pull-start mechanism.
The pressure washer's tank has a maximum capacity of 1.61 gallon for storing gasoline.
Design & Handling
The ECHO PW-4200's mobility is greatly enhanced by its hand truck design. The durable steel frame of the assembly ensures its longevity, providing stability and shielding internal components from damage, even in tough conditions. The reversible handle offers further versatility, as its different positions make the unit less bulky when stored.
Tipping the scales at 152 lbs, this unit's weight presents a notable challenge for users, especially when it comes to lifting and moving it, particularly over uneven ground. Its 389cc Honda GX390 engine, the triplex pump and steel frame add up to a large chunk of the device's weight. Nevertheless, with its two never-flat wheels, users can manage the PW-4200 with less difficulty, even over uneven terrain.
Main Features
Along with the ECHO PW-4200 itself, the package also includes a spray gun, a wand, a pressure hose, 4 nozzles and a detergent injection feature, which are discussed in further detail below.
- Soap injection: Even without a built-in soap tank, the device relies on a siphon hose to provide detergent. Attachment of a soap nozzle prompts the pressure washer to automatically introduce and blend the detergent with the water.
- Pressure hose: The unit comes equipped with an included 50 ft ⌀3/8" high-pressure hose, which can be neatly stored on the unit when idle, thanks to a set of convenient hooks, ensuring easy access and organization.
- Spray gun and wand: A side hook allows for an easy storage of the included classic ergonomic spray gun and its wand.
- Nozzles: Below, you'll find a table outlining the 4 included nozzles and their recommended surfaces.
