Zoom on the Excell EPW1792500
In a nutshell, the Excell EPW1792500 is a heavy duty pressure washer, which not only offers an all-around versatile cleaning experience, but that also allows:
- focused spot cleaning on hard, unpainted surfaces, accessing high spots, and efficiently eliminating stubborn stains
- complete cleaning of hard surfaces, vehicle washing, and surface prep for painting
- delicate surface cleaning, andbroad area cleaning with reduced pressure
- using cleaning solutions, and rinsing surfaces to remove residue
Its power characteristics and design, its main features and all its additional features are presented ahead.
Power
Powered by a 179cc (6 hp) engine, its axial cam pump can deliver a pressure of 2500 PSI (around 42 times more than a standard garden hose) and a flow of up to 2.3 GPM (values claimed by the manufacturer). With these values combined, the Excell EPW1792500 boasts a cleaning power of 5750 Cleaning Units.
The Rato R180-3 engine of this gas pressure washer is activated by pulling a starter cord, following a traditional approach.
Containing gasoline, the pressure washer's fuel tank can hold a maximum of 0.95 gallon.
Design & Handling
With its wheelbarrow design, the Excell EPW1792500 delivers superior maneuverability and stability, facilitating easy transport and steady performance across various surfaces. The durable metal frame of the assembly ensures its longevity, providing stability and shielding internal components from damage, even in tough conditions. The reversible handle offers further versatility, as its different positions make the unit less bulky when stored.
At 71 lbs, this unit's substantial weight makes it quite a challenge for users to lift and maneuver, particularly on uneven surfaces where its heft can become even more apparent. Its 179cc Rato R180-3 engine and metal frame are mainly responsible for its heavy weight. Nevertheless, with its two 10" pneumatic wheels, users can manage the EPW1792500 with less difficulty, even over uneven terrain.

- Spray gun and wand: The included classic ergonomic spray gun and its wand can be easily stored in a side hook.

The Excell EPW1792500's performance versus other pressure washers
The following charts are provided to give you an idea of how the key specs of the Excell EPW1792500 compared to similarly priced pressure washers.
This unit is now discontinued, but used to be sold around $250.
- The Excell EPW1792500, which can achieve a PSI of up to 2500, fell behind the other gas-powered pressure washers in the $240 to $300 price range. If your priority is the highest possible power of the water stream, in this price range, we suggest checking out the Simpson CM61456-S, which reaches up to 3200 PSI.
- In comparison to devices within the previously mentioned price range, this washer, with its 2.3 GPM, was on the lower spectrum of achievable water flow. If you’re after the highest rinsing efficiency, one of the units with the highest water flow in the current price range is the Ryobi RY802925, that can deliver up to 2.5 GPM.
- With a cleaning power of 5750 Cleaning Units (PSI X GPM), the EPW1792500 fell on the lower end compared to similarly priced gas-powered devices. For those placing importance on maximum cleaning power, the Simpson CM61456-S and its 8000 Cleaning Units offer one of the highest cleaning efficiencies among units in the same price range.
The bottom line
- Designed to be stable
- Good range of nozzles included
- Onboard storage
- Several security features
- No soap tank
- Low PSI for the price
- Low GPM for the price
- Low CU for the price
