Description
Zoom on the Excell EPW1792500
The Excell EPW1792500 is a medium duty pressure washer, that provides its users with an all-around versatile cleaning experience, and enables:
- spot cleaning of hard, unpainted surfaces or high reach areas
- intense cleaning of hard, unpainted surfaces
- cleaning of painted or delicate surfaces
- application of detergent and cleaning solutions
Its power characteristics and design, its main features and all its additional features are presented ahead.
Power
With a 179 cc (6 hp) engine, its axial cam pump delivers a pressure of 2500 PSI (roughly 42 times more than a standard garden hose) and a flow of up to 2.3 GPM (values claimed by the manufacturer), resulting in the Excell EPW1792500's cleaning power of 5750 Cleaning Units.
The Rato R180-3 engine of this gas-powered pressure washer gets started by a classic pull-start mechanism.
Gasoline is stored in a fuel tank with a maximum capacity of 0.95 gallon.
Design & Handling
The wheelbarrow design of the Excell EPW1792500 grants mobility and stability to the unit. The robust metal frame guarantees longevity of the assembly. The reversible handle offers further versatility, as its different positions make the unit less bulky when stored.
With a weight of 71 lbs, the unit can be easily maneuvered by most users. One of the largest contributors to its weight are its 179 cc Rato R180-3 engine and its metal frame. Nethertheless, thanks to its two 10" pneumatic wheels, the EPW1792500 remains very easy to manipulate and maneuver.

The Excell EPW1792500's performance versus other pressure washers
The following charts are provided to give you an idea of how the key specs of the Excell EPW1792500 compared to similarly priced pressure washers.
This unit is now discontinued, but used to be sold around $250.
- The Excell EPW1792500, a device which can produce up to 2500 PSI, was on the lower end of the pressure spectrum, among the gas-powered pressure washers in the $210-255 price range. If the highest possible power of the water stream is your priority, one of the champions in this price range is the Kärcher G2900E with 2900 PSI.
- In comparison to other devices in the above-mentioned price range, this washer and its 2.3 GPM (gallons per minute), had one of the lower GPM values. If maximum rinsing efficiency is your top priority, one of the devices with the highest water flow in the same price range is the Kärcher G2900E, with a GPM of 2.6.
- With 5750 Cleaning Units (PSI X GPM), the EPW1792500 was on the low end when compared to other similarly priced gas-powered devices. If you consider the highest overall cleaning power as a really important factor, the Kärcher G2900E and its 7540 Cleaning Units has one of the highest cleaning efficiency of all the similarly priced units.
The bottom line
- Designed to be stable
- Good range of nozzles included
- Onboard storage
- Several security features
- CARB-compliant
- No soap tank
- Low PSI for the price
- Low GPM for the price
- Low CU for the price
