Zoom on the Generac 6565

The Generac 6565, a heavy duty, commercial pressure washer, gives its user an all-around versatile cleaning experience, topped off by the following features:

  • spot cleaning of hard, unpainted surfaces and high-reach cleaning
  • thorough cleaning of hard, paint-free surfaces
  • cleaning of painted or delicate surfaces
  • applying detergent and cleaning solutions

Its power characteristics and design, its main features and all its additional features are presented ahead.

Power

The Generac 6565 in use

The Generac 6565

Using a powerful 420cc engine, its triplex pump delivers a pressure of up to 4200 PSI (roughly 70 times more than a standard garden hose) and a flow of up to 4 GPM (values claimed by the manufacturer). Together, the values result in a cleaning power of 16800 Cleaning Units.

The Generac engine of this gas-powered pressure washer gets started by a classic pull-start mechanism.

Gasoline storage is facilitated by a fuel tank with a maximum capacity of 1.5 gallon.

Design & Handling

Thanks to its hand truck design and approximate dimensions of D34.5 x W28.3 x H42.5 in, the Generac 6565 offers great mobility. The robust welded steel frame guarantees longevity of the assembly. The folding handle enhances its mobility, while allowing for a convenient storage.

This model weighs 146.5 lbs. For this reason, it cannot be called lightweight and thus, carrying and transporting it might be somewhat challenging. The main contributors to its weight are its 420cc Generac engine, the triplex pump and welded steel frame. However, the unit is manipulated smoothly thanks to its two 12" pneumatic wheels, which play a key role in its maneuverability.

Main Features

Along with the Generac 6565 itself, the package also includes a spray gun, a wand, a pressure hose, 5 nozzles and a detergent injection feature, which are discussed in further detail below.

  • Soap injection: While the device doesn't feature a soap tank, detergent supply is ensured by a siphon hose. However, since the Generac 6565 does not feature a soap dilution mechanism, you'll have to make sure your detergent is correctly diluted before use. Whenever a soap nozzle is connected, the detergent is automatically added to the water.
  • Pressure hose: The included 50 ft ⌀3/8" high-pressure hose (4200 PSI rating) can be neatly stored on the unit when idle thanks to a set of convenient hooks.
  • Spray gun and wand: Both the classic ergonomic spray gun and its wand may be conveniently stored in a side hook. A rotating auxiliary side handle further improves both left-handed and right-handed users' comfort.
  • Nozzles: The 5 included nozzles, and the respective surfaces they’re appropriate for, are listed in the table below.
