Description
Zoom on the Generac 8894
In a nutshell, the Generac 8894 is a heavy duty, commercial pressure washer, which not only offers an all-around versatile cleaning experience, but that also allows:
- spot cleaning of hard, paintless surfaces and reaching far-away areas
- cleaning of painted and frail surfaces
- application of detergent and cleaning solutions
Its power characteristics and design, its main features and all its additional features are presented ahead.
Power
Powered by a 196cc engine, its aluminum axial cam pump can deliver a pressure of 3100 PSI (around 52 times more than a standard garden hose) and a flow of up to 2.5 GPM (values claimed by the manufacturer). Combined, these values mean that the Generac 8894 has a cleaning power of 7750 Cleaning Units.
This gas-powered unit's Generac engine is convenient and reliable, thanks to its dual starting mechanism: you can either choose the traditional pull-start mechanism, or the practical electric start. A lithium-ion battery, which is included in the package, is required for the electric start.
The fuel is stored in a tank, which can hold up to 0.8 gallon of gasoline.
Design & Handling
Thanks to its hand truck design and approximate dimensions of D24.4 x W19 x H35.5 in, the Generac 8894 offers great mobility. The robust and sturdy steel frame offers longevity to the assembly. The handle adds to the 8894 convenience of transport.
Most users can maneuver this model easily, as it weighs just 58.1 lbs. A major component of its weight are its 196cc Generac engine and steel frame. However, the two 10" never-flat wheels allow the 8894 to be easily manipulated and maneuvered.
Main Features
Along with the Generac 8894 itself, the package also includes a spray gun, a wand, a pressure hose, 4 nozzles and a detergent injection feature, which are discussed in further detail below.
- Soap injection: Detergent storage is ensured by a 0.6 gal tank. When a soap nozzle is connected, the detergent will be added automatically to the water.
- Pressure hose: A neat storage for the included 25 ft ⌀1/4" high-pressure hose (3100 PSI rating) is facilitated by a set of convenient hooks.
- Spray gun and wand: The included PowerDial spray gun and its wand can be easily stored in a side hook.
- Nozzles: The following table illustrates the 4 included nozzles, along with the surfaces which they are the most suitable for.
