Description

Zoom on the Generac XC4000W

The Generac XC4000W, a heavy duty, commercial pressure washer, gives its user an all-around versatile cleaning experience, topped off by the following features:

  • pinpoint spot cleaning of hard, unpainted surfaces, accessing high areas, and successfully removing stubborn stains
  • broad cleaning of hard surfaces, vehicle washing, and surface preparation for painting
  • delicate surface cleaning, andbroad area cleaning with reduced pressure
  • applying detergents or chemicals, and rinsing surfaces afterward

Ahead are presented its power characteristics and design, its main features and any other additional features.

Power

Powered by a powerful 389cc engine, its aluminum triplex pump can deliver a pressure of 4000 PSI (around 67 times more than a standard garden hose) and a flow of up to 3.5 GPM (values claimed by the manufacturer). With these values combined, the Generac XC4000W boasts a cleaning power of 14000 Cleaning Units.

To start the Honda GX390 engine of this gas-powered washer, users employ the familiar pull-start technique.

Containing gasoline, the pressure washer's steel fuel tank can hold a maximum of 1.52 gallon..

Design & Handling

Featuring a wheelbarrow design, the Generac XC4000W prioritizes maneuverability and stability, ensuring smooth handling and reliable functionality in demanding cleaning applications. Guaranteeing longevity, the robust welded steel frame offers stability and protects internal components, even when subjected to demanding tasks. The folding handle enhances its mobility, while allowing for a convenient storage.

At 150 lbs, we can't really say that the unit is lightweight, and manually lifting or transporting it could be a significant challenge for users, especially if they need to move it frequently or navigate over uneven terrain. A key role in its final weight is played by its 389cc Honda GX390 engine, the triplex pump and welded steel frame. Nevertheless, with its three 10" never-flat wheels, users can manage the XC4000W with less difficulty, even over uneven terrain.

Main Features

The Generac XC4000W comes with a spray gun, a wand, a pressure hose, 5 nozzles and a detergent injection feature, which are detailed below.

  • Soap injection: The XC4000W does not feature a traditional soap tank. Instead, the detergent is supplied by a siphon hose. For this purpose, it has an integrated 5 gallon bucket holder that can hold cleaning detergent or serve as an additional onboard storage for tools and accessories. This bucket holder can be folded to save storage space. Upon connecting a soap nozzle, the pressure washer takes over the task of seamlessly combining the detergent with the water flow.
  • Pressure hose: The unit comes with an easy-to-connect 35 ft ⌀3/8" high-pressure hose (4200 PSI rating). However, it doesn't feature any proper storage solution for it (no reel, strap or hook).
  • Spray gun and wand: A side hook allows for an easy storage of the included classic ergonomic spray gun and its stainless steel wand. A rotating auxiliary side handle further improves both left-handed and right-handed users' comfort.
  • Nozzles: Find details on the 5 included nozzles and their recommended surface applications in the table below.

  • Accessories: Besides the usual owner's manual (opens in a new tab) and documentation to get you promptly started, the Generac XC4000W comes with spray gun, pressure hose, soap hose and wand.
