Description

Zoom on the Generac XC4000W

The Generac XC4000W is a heavy duty, commercial pressure washer, that provides its users with an all-around versatile cleaning experience, and enables:

  • pinpoint spot cleaning of hard, unpainted surfaces, accessing high areas, and successfully removing stubborn stains
  • overall cleaning of hard surfaces, washing vehicles, and prepping surfaces for painting
  • soft cleaning of delicate surfaces, and gentle cleaning for larger areas with low pressure
  • applying detergent and cleaning solutions, and rinsing surfaces

The following sections will present you in detail its power characteristics and design, its main features and all the additional features it has to offer.

Power

Fueled by an impressive 389cc engine, its aluminum triplex pump can generate a forceful pressure of 4000 PSI (roughly 67 times that of a standard garden hose) and a flow rate of up to 3.5 GPM (values claimed by the manufacturer). When these values are taken together, they yield a cleaning power of 14000 Cleaning Units.

Starting the Honda GX390 engine of this gas pressure washer involves using a conventional pull-start method.

The pressure washer's steel tank has a maximum capacity of 1.52 gallon for storing gasoline.

Design & Handling

The wheelbarrow design of the Generac XC4000W offers enhanced mobility and stability, making it ideal for navigating uneven terrain and ensuring steady operation during heavy-duty cleaning tasks. With its strong welded steel frame, the assembly is built to last, providing stability and safeguarding internal components, even in challenging environments. The folding handle enhances its mobility, while allowing for a convenient storage.

Tipping the scales at 150 lbs, this unit's weight presents a notable challenge for users, especially when it comes to lifting and moving it, particularly over uneven ground. Its 389cc Honda GX390 engine, the triplex pump and welded steel frame are mainly responsible for its heavy weight. Nevertheless, with its three 10" never-flat wheels, users can manage the XC4000W with less difficulty, even over uneven terrain.

Main Features

The Generac XC4000W's package includes a spray gun, a wand, a pressure hose, 5 nozzles and a detergent injection feature, with a more detailed description below.

  • Soap injection: The XC4000W does not feature a traditional soap tank. Instead, the detergent is supplied by a siphon hose. For this purpose, it has an integrated 5 gallon bucket holder that can hold cleaning detergent or serve as an additional onboard storage for tools and accessories. This bucket holder can be folded to save storage space. When a soap nozzle is connected, the pressure washer takes the initiative to mix the detergent with the water flow automatically.
  • Pressure hose: Included with the unit is a 35 ft ⌀3/8" high-pressure hose (4200 PSI rating), which effortlessly connects to the unit for quick setup. However, it doesn't feature any proper storage solution for it (no reel, strap or hook).
  • Spray gun and wand: A side hook enables you to easily store the included classic ergonomic spray gun and its stainless steel wand. A rotating auxiliary side handle further improves both left-handed and right-handed users' comfort.
  • Nozzles: Review the table below to learn about the 5 included nozzles and the surfaces they're recommended for.

Other Features

  • Onboard storage: The Generac XC4000W allows you to be always fully prepared, as it features a handy storage area, where nozzles and accessories can be stored.
  • Safety: Safety of operation is enhanced by a thermal relief valve (which helps to prevent internal pump damage), a low oil protection and a trigger lock mechanism (which prevents accidental operation).
  • Accessories: Besides the usual owner's manual (opens in a new tab) and documentation to get you promptly started, the Generac XC4000W comes with pressure hose, wand, soap hose and spray gun.
