Description
Zoom on the Greenworks PW18HYB
In summary, the Greenworks PW18HYB is a light duty pressure washer, that offers an all-around versatile cleaning experience, and also:
- cleaning of painted and frail surfaces
- applying detergent and cleaning solutions
- intense cleaning of hard surfaces
The following sections will present you in detail its power characteristics and design, its main features and all the additional features it has to offer.
Power
Using a 13 amp universal motor, its axial cam pump delivers a pressure of up to 1800 PSI (roughly 30 times more than a standard garden hose) and a flow of up to 1.1 GPM (values as per PWMA testing standards). Together, the values result in a cleaning power of 1980 Cleaning Units.
Since it is an electric pressure washer, the motor of the PW18HYB is started simply by an ON/OFF switch. The unit is ready-to-use with peace of mind, thanks to the included 35 ft GFCI cord.
The main draw of the Greenworks PW18HYB is that it is a hybrid pressure washer. Thus, in addition to its corded operation, the unit can also operate cordlessly on batteries, which makes it ideal for cleaning areas with no AC hook up.
For this, you'll need two of Greenworks' pro-grade 60V lithium-ion batteries. Neither these batteries nor their charger are included with the unit. Note that when operating on battery, the PW18HYB max PSI drops to 1500 and max GPM to 1.0, for a total of 1500 Cleaning Units.
Design & Handling
Thanks to its hand truck design and approximate dimensions of D18 x W20.4 x H25.3 in, the Greenworks PW18HYB offers great mobility. The robust steel tubing frame guarantees longevity of the assembly. The foam-padded fixed handle adds to the PW18HYB convenience of transport, while offering a comfortable grip.
Because the device weighs just 26.5 lbs, carrying it around is very easy. To further improve its transportability and ease of use, the unit also features a set of two 8" never-flat wheels.
