Description
Zoom on the Kärcher G2700R
In a nutshell, the Kärcher G2700R is a medium duty pressure washer, which not only offers an all-around versatile cleaning experience, but that also allows:
- intense cleaning of hard, unpainted surfaces
- cleaning of painted or delicate surfaces
- applying detergent and cleaning solutions
Ahead are presented its power characteristics and design, its main features and any other additional features.
Power
Using a 196cc engine, its aluminum axial cam pump delivers a pressure of up to 2700 PSI (roughly 45 times more than a standard garden hose) and a flow of up to 2.4 GPM (CETA-certified values). Together, the values result in a cleaning power of 6480 Cleaning Units.
A classic pull-start mechanism is responsible for starting the gas-powered pressure washer’s Kärcher KPS engine.
Gasoline storage is facilitated by a fuel tank with a maximum capacity of 0.4 gallon.
Design & Handling
Thanks to its hand truck design and approximate dimensions of D20 x W16 x H52 in, the Kärcher G2700R offers great mobility. Its sturdy welded steel frame provides longevity to the assembly. The handle adds to the G2700R convenience of transport.
Weighing 60 lbs, the unit is easy to maneuver by most people. Its 196cc Kärcher KPS engine and welded steel frame account for a good chunk of that weight. The G2700R can still be easily manipulated and maneuvered, thanks to its two 12" never-flat wheels.
Main Features
The Kärcher G2700R comes with a spray gun, a wand, a pressure hose, 4 nozzles and a detergent injection feature, which are detailed below.
- Soap injection: Even though the device doesn't have a soap tank, detergent is supplied by a siphon hose. The Kärcher G2700R is not equipped with a soap dilution mechanism, and thus, it is up to the user to ensure the detergent’s correct dilution ratio when using it. If a soap nozzle is attached, the device will proceed to add the detergent to the water automatically.
- Pressure hose: The 25 ft ⌀1/4" high-pressure hose, which is included with the device, can be stored neatly on the unit itself when idle, using a set of easy-to-use straps.
- Spray gun and wand: A side hook enables you to easily store the included classic ergonomic spray gun and its zinc-coated wand.
- Nozzles: The 4 included nozzles, and the respective surfaces they’re appropriate for, are listed in the table below.

- Safety: Safety of operation is enhanced by a trigger lock mechanism (which prevents accidental operation).
- Accessories: The Kärcher G2700R comes with an owner's manual (opens in a new tab) and some basic documentation to get you quickly started. On top of that, you also get spray gun, wand, soap hose and pressure hose.
- Emissions: The Kärcher G2700R is CARB-compliant. Thus, it can be bought and sold in any of the 50 states, including California.
The Kärcher G2700R's performance versus other pressure washers
The following charts are provided to give you an idea of how the key specs of the Kärcher G2700R compare to similarly priced pressure washers.
- The Kärcher G2700R, which can achieve a PSI of up to 2700, falls behind the other gas-powered pressure washers in the $300 to $400 price range. If the highest possible power of the water stream is your priority, one of the champions in this price range is the Westinghouse WPX3400 with 3400 PSI.
- In its respective price range, the water flow of this washer, 2.4 GPM (gallons per minute), ranks as average. If being able to rinse away debris as efficiently as possible is your priority, one of the products with the highest GPM in this price range is the Lifan LFQ3370, with 3 GPM.
- With 6480 Cleaning Units (PSI X GPM), the G2700R is on the low end when compared to other similarly priced gas-powered devices. When it comes to the highest overall cleaning power in the current price range, one of the products at the very top currently is the Lifan LFQ3370 and its 9900 Cleaning Units.
Price comparison
As you can see from this interactive chart, when compared to other gas-powered washers between 6000 and 6500 Cleaning Units, the Karcher G2700R is on the expensive side of the price range.
While certainly not the cheapest of its cleaning power range, purchasing it could most likely also mean enjoying the reliability of a high-end product.
The bottom line
- Good range of nozzles included
- Onboard storage
- CARB-compliant
- Decent GPM for the price
- On the expensive side
- No soap tank
- No detergent dilution mechanism
- Low PSI for the price
- Low CU for the price
