Zoom on the Powermate 7131

In a nutshell, the Powermate 7131 is a heavy duty, commercial pressure washer, which not only offers an all-around versatile cleaning experience, but that also allows:

  • spot cleaning of hard, unpainted surfaces and high-reach cleaning
  • intense cleaning of hard, unpainted surfaces
  • cleaning of painted or delicate surfaces
  • use of detergent and cleaning solutions

Ahead are presented its power characteristics and design, its main features and any other additional features.

Power

With an impressive 208 cc (5.8 hp) engine, its aluminum axial cam pump delivers a pressure of 3100 PSI (roughly 52 times more than a standard garden hose) and a flow of up to 2.5 GPM (values claimed by the manufacturer), resulting in the Powermate 7131's cleaning power of 7750 Cleaning Units.

The Generac engine of this gas-powered pressure washer relies on an old-school pull-start mechanism to get started.

Gasoline storage is facilitated by a fuel tank with a maximum capacity of 0.87 gallon.

Design & Handling

The Powermate 7131 is very mobile, due to its hand truck design and approximate dimensions of D23.6 x W19.7 x H40.3 in. The robust and sturdy welded steel frame offers longevity to the assembly. The foam-padded fixed handle adds to the 7131 convenience of transport, while offering a comfortable grip.

The device can be maneuvered with ease by most, since it only weighs 57 lbs. Its 208 cc Generac engine and welded steel frame all add up to a substantial part of that weight. Nethertheless, thanks to its two 10" never-flat wheels, the 7131 remains very easy to manipulate and maneuver.

Main Features

Along with the Powermate 7131 itself, the package also includes a spray gun, a wand, a pressure hose, 5 nozzles and a detergent injection feature, which are discussed in further detail below.

  • Soap injection: A safe detergent storage is facilitated by a 0.3 gal tank. The Powermate 7131 is not equipped with a soap dilution mechanism, and thus, it is up to the user to ensure the detergent’s correct dilution ratio when using it. The detergent will be added automatically to the water when a soap nozzle is attached.
  • Pressure hose: The included 30 ft ⌀0.3" high-pressure hose (3100 PSI rating) can be neatly stored on the unit when idle thanks to a set of convenient hooks.
  • Spray gun and wand: Both the classic ergonomic spray gun and its wand may be conveniently stored in a side hook.
  • Nozzles: The 5 included nozzles, and the respective surfaces they’re appropriate for, are listed in the table below.
