Description

When it comes to tackling the toughest outdoor cleaning projects around the home, the Powermate 3100 PSI pressure washer fits the bill. A 30-ft. non-marring, high-pressure PVC hose lets you cover a lot of area, while five quick-change nozzle tips — a 0°, 15°, 25°, 40° and low-pressure soap tip — give you plenty of cleaning options.

Zoom on the Powermate 7131

The Powermate 7131 is a heavy duty, commercial pressure washer, that provides its users with an all-around versatile cleaning experience, and enables:

  • spot cleaning of hard, paintless surfaces and reaching far-away areas
  • intense cleaning of tough, paintless surfaces
  • cleaning of painted and fragile surfaces
  • application of detergent and cleaning solutions

Its power characteristics and design, its main features and all its additional features are presented ahead.

Power

Powered by an impressive 208 cc (5.8 hp) engine, its aluminum axial cam pump can deliver a pressure of 3100 PSI (around 52 times more than a standard garden hose) and a flow of up to 2.5 GPM (values claimed by the manufacturer). Combined, these values mean that the Powermate 7131 has a cleaning power of 7750 Cleaning Units.

A classic pull-start mechanism is responsible for starting the gas-powered pressure washer’s Generac engine.

Gasoline is stored in a fuel tank with a maximum capacity of 0.87 gallon.

Design & Handling

The Powermate 7131 is very mobile, due to its hand truck design and approximate dimensions of D23.6 x W19.7 x H40.3 in. The strong welded steel frame assures assembly longevity. The foam-padded fixed handle adds to the 7131 convenience of transport, while offering a comfortable grip.

The majority of users will be able to maneuver this unit easily, it only weighs 57 lbs. A major component of its weight are its 208 cc Generac engine and welded steel frame. Nethertheless, thanks to its two 10" never-flat wheels, the 7131 remains very easy to manipulate and maneuver.

Main Features

Along with the Powermate 7131 itself, the package also includes a spray gun, a wand, a pressure hose, 5 nozzles and a detergent injection feature, which are discussed in further detail below.

  • Soap injection: A safe detergent storage is facilitated by a 0.3 gal tank. As the Powermate 7131 doesn’t include a soap dilution mechanism, the user must provide a correctly diluted detergent before proceeding to use it. The detergent will be added automatically to the water when a soap nozzle is attached.
  • Pressure hose: Using a set of convenient hooks, the included 30 ft ⌀0.3" high-pressure hose (3100 PSI rating) can be easily stored on the unit when it is not running.
  • Spray gun and wand: A side hook enables you to easily store the included classic ergonomic spray gun and its wand.
  • Nozzles: The table below shows you the 5 included nozzles, as well as the surfaces they're the most appropriate for.
