Description

Zoom on the PowerStroke PS80519B

In a nutshell, the PowerStroke PS80519B is a medium duty pressure washer, which not only offers an all-around versatile cleaning experience, but that also allows:

  • delicate surface cleaning, andbroad area cleaning with reduced pressure
  • applying detergents or chemicals, and rinsing surfaces afterward

Ahead are presented its power characteristics and design, its main features and any other additional features.

Power

The PowerStroke PS80519B in use

The PowerStroke PS80519B

Using a 150cc engine, its axial cam pump delivers a pressure of up to 2200 PSI (roughly 37 times more than a standard garden hose) and a flow of up to 2 GPM (values as per PW101-2010). When these values are taken together, they yield a cleaning power of 4400 Cleaning Units.

The engine of this gas-powered pressure washer is initiated by a classic pull-start mechanism.

Gasoline is stored in a fuel tank with a maximum capacity of 0.31 gallon.

Design & Handling

With its hand truck design and approximate dimensions of D19.2 x W17.2 x H34.8 in, the PowerStroke PS80519B provides great mobility. Built to endure, the steel tubing frame ensures the assembly's longevity by providing stability and safeguarding internal components under all working conditions. The handle adds to the PS80519B convenience of transport.

Weighing 58.1 lbs, this unit offers a manageable weight that allows for easy handling by most individuals. This substantial weight can be partially attributed to the incorporation of the 150cc engine and a resilient steel tubing frame. Even so, the PS80519B's two never-flat wheels maintain easy maneuverability.

Main Features

Along with the PowerStroke PS80519B itself, the package also includes a spray gun, a wand, a pressure hose, 3 nozzles and a detergent injection feature, which are discussed in further detail below.

  • Soap injection: While not equipped with a soap tank, the device maintains detergent supply through a siphon hose. The PowerStroke PS80519B includes an automatic soap dilution mechanism, allowing detergent to be diluted to the ratio of 20:1 with ease. Connection of a soap nozzle triggers the pressure washer to automatically incorporate the detergent into the water stream.
  • Pressure hose: For easy organization, the included 25 ft high-pressure hose can be stored on the unit using a set of easy-to-use straps when it's not in use, ensuring a clutter-free workspace.
  • Spray gun and wand: A side hook enables you to easily store the included classic ergonomic spray gun and its wand.
  • Nozzles: The table below shows you the 3 included nozzles and the surfaces they're the most appropriate for.

The PowerStroke PS80519B's performance versus other pressure washers

The following charts are provided to give you an idea of how the key specs of the PowerStroke PS80519B compared to similarly priced pressure washers.

This unit is now discontinued, but used to be sold around $190.

  • The PowerStroke PS80519B, which can achieve a PSI of up to 2200, fell behind the other gas-powered pressure washers in the $190 to $300 price range. Prioritizing the highest water stream power? Check out the Powerhorse 115176—a top contender in this price range, delivering up to 3400 PSI.
  • When compared to devices in the above-mentioned price range, this washer and its 2 GPM (gallons per minute), was on the lower end of the achievable water flow. When it comes to efficiently rinsing away debris, one standout option within this price range is the Powerhorse 115176, delivering an impressive 2.7 GPM.
  • The PS80519B ranked as below average in terms of Cleaning Units, compared to gas-powered devices in its price range, reaching only a value of 4400 CU (PSI X GPM). If the highest overall cleaning power is your top priority, the Powerhorse 115176, which can reach up to 9180 Cleaning Units, is one of the most efficient of the devices in the current price range.

The only issues that I have found after 3 years is it just needs a bigger gas tank. Where others even more expensive have broken prematurely this is a tough pressure washer. I would say it is a smart purchase.

+ PROS: Easy quick connectors. Convenient to check oil. Use choke, Long 25' hose. Large wheels. Printed instructions on unit.
    - CONS: Small gas tank capacity.
