Power

The PowerStroke PS80519B in use

The PowerStroke PS80519B

Using a 150 cc engine, its axial cam pump delivers a pressure of up to 2200 PSI (roughly 37 times more than a standard garden hose) and a flow of up to 2 GPM (values as per PW101-2010). Together, the values result in a cleaning power of 4400 Cleaning Units.

The engine of this gas-powered pressure washer gets started by a classic pull-start mechanism.

Gasoline is stored in a fuel tank with a maximum capacity of 0.31 gallon.

Design & Handling

With its hand truck design and approximate dimensions of D19.2 x W17.2 x H34.8 in, the PowerStroke PS80519B provides great mobility. The robust steel tubing frame guarantees longevity of the assembly. The handle adds to the PS80519B convenience of transport.

The majority of users will be able to maneuver this unit easily, it only weighs 58.1 lbs. Its 150 cc engine and steel tubing frame all add up to a substantial part of that weight. But, as the PS80519B does have a set of two never-flat wheels, it can be easily maneuvered and manipulated.

Main Features

The PowerStroke PS80519B's package includes a spray gun, a wand, a pressure hose, 3 nozzles and a detergent injection feature, with a more detailed description below.

  • Soap injection: Even though the device doesn't have a soap tank, detergent is supplied by a siphon hose. The automatic soap dilution mechanism of the PowerStroke PS80519B will dilute the detergent with a 20:1 ratio. Whenever a soap nozzle is connected, the detergent is automatically added to the water.
  • Pressure hose: The 25 ft high-pressure hose, which is included with the device, can be stored neatly on the unit itself when idle, using a set of easy-to-use straps.
  • Spray gun and wand: A side hook enables you to easily store the included classic ergonomic spray gun and its wand.
  • Nozzles: The 3 included nozzles, and the respective surfaces they’re appropriate for, are listed in the table below.

The only issues that I have found after 3 years is it just needs a bigger gas tank. Where others even more expensive have broken prematurely this is a tough pressure washer. I would say it is a smart purchase.

+ PROS: Easy quick connectors. Convenient to check oil. Use choke, Long 25' hose. Large wheels. Printed instructions on unit.
    - CONS: Small gas tank capacity.
