Description

Zoom on the PowerStroke PS80519B

The PowerStroke PS80519B, a medium duty pressure washer, gives its user an all-around versatile cleaning experience, topped off by the following features:

  • cleaning of painted and frail surfaces
  • use of detergent and cleaning solutions

The following sections will present you in detail its power characteristics and design, its main features and all the additional features it has to offer.

Power

The PowerStroke PS80519B in use

The PowerStroke PS80519B

Powered by a 150 cc engine, its axial cam pump can deliver a pressure of 2200 PSI (around 37 times more than a standard garden hose) and a flow of up to 2 GPM (values as per PW101-2010). Combined, these values mean that the PowerStroke PS80519B has a cleaning power of 4400 Cleaning Units.

The engine of this gas-powered pressure washer relies on an old-school pull-start mechanism to get started.

Gasoline storage is facilitated by a fuel tank with a maximum capacity of 0.31 gallon.

Design & Handling

The PowerStroke PS80519B offers superb mobility, with a hand truck design and approximate dimensions of D19.2 x W17.2 x H34.8 in. The strong steel tubing frame assures assembly longevity. The handle adds to the PS80519B convenience of transport.

The device can be maneuvered with ease by most, since it only weighs 58.1 lbs. Its 150 cc engine and steel tubing frame account for a good chunk of that weight. The PS80519B can still be easily manipulated and maneuvered, thanks to its two never-flat wheels.

Main Features

The PowerStroke PS80519B comes with a spray gun, a wand, a pressure hose, 3 nozzles and a detergent injection feature, which are detailed below.

  • Soap injection: While the device doesn't feature a soap tank, detergent supply is ensured by a siphon hose. The PowerStroke PS80519B has an automatic soap dilution mechanism, which dilutes the detergent using a 20:1 ratio. The detergent will be added automatically to the water when a soap nozzle is attached.
  • Pressure hose: The included 25 ft high-pressure hose can be neatly stored on the unit when idle thanks to a set of easy-to-use straps.
  • Spray gun and wand: A side hook enables you to easily store the included classic ergonomic spray gun and its wand.
  • Nozzles: The table below shows you the 3 included nozzles, as well as the surfaces they're the most appropriate for.

  • The PowerStroke PS80519B and its 2200 PSI, ranks amongst gas-powered pressure washers with a comparably low pressure output, considering the units that cost between $190 and $250. The only issues that I have found after 3 years is it just needs a bigger gas tank. Where others even more expensive have broken prematurely this is a tough pressure washer. I would say it is a smart purchase.

+ PROS: Easy quick connectors. Convenient to check oil. Use choke, Long 25' hose. Large wheels. Printed instructions on unit.
    - CONS: Small gas tank capacity.
