Description

Zoom on the PowerStroke PS80544B

The PowerStroke PS80544B, a heavy duty, commercial pressure washer, gives its user an all-around versatile cleaning experience, topped off by the following features:

  • spot cleaning of hard, unpainted surfaces and high-reach cleaning
  • cleaning of painted or delicate surfaces
  • use of detergent and cleaning solutions

Its power characteristics and design, its main features and all its additional features are presented ahead.

Power

With an impressive 212cc engine, its axial cam pump delivers a pressure of 3100 PSI (roughly 52 times more than a standard garden hose) and a flow of up to 2.5 GPM (values as per PW101-2010), resulting in the PowerStroke PS80544B's cleaning power of 7750 Cleaning Units.

The engine of this gas-powered pressure washer gets started by a classic pull-start mechanism.

Gasoline is stored in a fuel tank with a maximum capacity of 0.66 gallon.

Design & Handling

The PowerStroke PS80544B is very mobile, due to its hand truck design and approximate dimensions of D21 x W20 x H37 in. The robust steel tubing frame guarantees longevity of the assembly. The foam-padded fixed handle adds to the PS80544B convenience of transport, while offering a comfortable grip.

The majority of users will be able to maneuver this unit easily, it only weighs 70 lbs. Its 212cc engine and steel tubing frame all add up to a substantial part of that weight. Since the PS80544B has a set of two 12" never-flat wheels, it is still easily maneuvered and manipulated.

Main Features

The PowerStroke PS80544B comes with a spray gun, a wand, a pressure hose, 4 nozzles and a detergent injection feature, which are detailed below.

  • Soap injection: Detergent storage is ensured by a 1 gal tank. The PowerStroke PS80544B has an automatic soap dilution mechanism, which dilutes the detergent using a 20:1 ratio. If a soap nozzle is attached, the device will proceed to add the detergent to the water automatically.
  • Pressure hose: A neat storage for the included 25 ft high-pressure hose is facilitated by a set of convenient hooks.
  • Spray gun and wand: The included classic ergonomic spray gun and its wand can be easily stored in a side hook.
  • Nozzles: The table below shows you the 4 included nozzles, as well as the surfaces they're the most appropriate for.

Great unit for the home owner, spend the extra cash n by gas…

+ PROS: Easy to use, starts every time, owned for 3 years no problems. I drain the fuel from tank and carb bowl when I put it away for winter. I then put pump lube in the pump and make sure the hoses are drained and engine oil changed.
    - CONS: Most people will have to buy an extra 50’ of hose.
