Zoom on the Pulsar W2800H

The Pulsar W2800H is a medium to heavy duty pressure washer, that provides its users with an all-around versatile cleaning experience, and enables:

  • spot cleaning of hard, paint-free surfaces and out-of-reach areas
  • cleaning of painted and fragile surfaces
  • application of detergent and cleaning solutions

Ahead are presented its power characteristics and design, its main features and any other additional features.

Power

Its axial cam pump, which utilizes a powerful 212 cc engine, may deliver a pressure of up to 2800 PSI (almost 47 times more than a standard garden hose) and a flow of up to 2.5 GPM. These values correspond to a cleaning power of 7000 Cleaning Units.

This gas-powered pressure washer’s Ducar engine is started by a traditional pull-start mechanism.

Gasoline is stored in a metal fuel tank with a maximum capacity of 0.31 gallon.

Design & Handling

The Pulsar W2800H offers superb mobility, with a hand truck design. The robust and sturdy steel frame offers longevity to the assembly. The foam-padded fixed handle adds to the W2800H convenience of transport, while offering a comfortable grip.

Most users can maneuver this model easily, as it weighs just 73 lbs. One of the largest contributors to its weight are its 212 cc Ducar engine and its steel frame. The W2800H can still be easily manipulated and maneuvered, thanks to its two 12" never-flat wheels.

The Pulsar W2800H's performance versus other pressure washers

The following charts are provided to give you an idea of how the key specs of the Pulsar W2800H compare to similarly priced pressure washers.

  • The Pulsar W2800H, a device which can produce up to 2800 PSI, is on the lower end of the pressure spectrum, among the gas-powered pressure washers in the $275-400 price range. If you're going after the highest possible power of the water stream, one of the best in this price range is the Westinghouse WPX3400 that can reach up to 3400 PSI.
  • As this washer can produce a flow of water of 2.5 GPM (gallons per minute), it is average in terms of water volume for the above-mentioned price range. If you’re after the highest rinsing efficiency, one of the units with the highest water flow in the current price range is the Predator 3100, that can deliver up to 2.8 GPM.
  • In comparison to other gas-powered units of similar price, the 7000 Cleaning Units (PSI x GPM) of the W2800H are average. If you consider the highest overall cleaning power as a really important factor, the Predator 3200 and its 8960 Cleaning Units has one of the highest cleaning efficiency of all the similarly priced units.

Price comparison

As you can see from this interactive chart, when compared to other gas-powered washers between 7000 and 7500 Cleaning Units, the Pulsar W2800H is on the average side of the price range.

Therefore, this pressure washer nicely fits in the expected budget for this kind of cleaning power.

The bottom line
