Description
Zoom on the Ryobi RY803600
The Ryobi RY803600, a heavy duty, commercial pressure washer, gives its user an all-around versatile cleaning experience, topped off by the following features:
- spot cleaning of hard, unpainted surfaces or high reach areas
- thorough cleaning of hard, paint-free surfaces
- cleaning of painted or delicate surfaces
- applying detergent and cleaning solutions
The following sections will present you in detail its power characteristics and design, its main features and all the additional features it has to offer.
Power
Powered by a 196 cc (5.8 hp) engine, its brass triplex pump can deliver a pressure of 3600 PSI (around 60 times more than a standard garden hose) and a flow of up to 2.5 GPM (values claimed by the manufacturer). Combined, these values mean that the Ryobi RY803600 has a cleaning power of 9000 Cleaning Units.
The Honda GX200 engine of this gas-powered pressure washer gets started by a classic pull-start mechanism.
The fuel is stored in a tank, which can hold up to 0.81 gallon of gasoline.
Design & Handling
The wheelbarrow design of the Ryobi RY803600 grants mobility and stability to the unit. The strong steel tubing frame assures assembly longevity. The reversible handle offers further versatility, as its different positions make the unit less bulky when stored.
With a weight of 80 lbs, the unit can be easily maneuvered by most users. Its 196 cc Honda GX200 engine, the triplex pump and steel tubing frame account for a good chunk of that weight. However, the two 10" never-flat wheels allow the RY803600 to be easily manipulated and maneuvered.
Main Features
The Ryobi RY803600 comes with a spray gun, a wand, a pressure hose, 5 nozzles and a detergent injection feature, which are detailed below.
- Soap injection: Even though the device doesn't have a soap tank, detergent is supplied by a siphon hose. The automatic soap dilution mechanism of the Ryobi RY803600 will dilute the detergent with a 20:1 ratio. If a soap nozzle is attached, the device will proceed to add the detergent to the water automatically.
- Pressure hose: Using a set of easy-to-use straps, the included 35 ft ⌀1/4" high-pressure hose can be easily stored on the unit when it is not running.
- Spray gun and wand: Both the classic ergonomic spray gun and its wand may be conveniently stored in a side hook. The gun features a rotating auxiliary side handle to further improve the comfort of both left and right-handed users.
- Nozzles: The 5 included nozzles, and the respective surfaces they’re appropriate for, are listed in the table below.

This is a great machine! Living in Az I wanted the lowest gpm to conserve water but cleaning power of high pressure.
This Ryobi fits the bill.Awesome cleaning power. Also, love the ability to throttle it back like working on the car or outdoor furniture, bikes etc. The Honda engine is the best for dependable starts and smooth running. The engine alone costs more than many cheap gas washers. A recommend is to get a quick connect kit from Amazon that is less than $20 that makes hooking up the hose, machine, gun and even the water hose very “quick” and easy! The pressure hose is rather stiff and cumbersome to work with. In Oct. 20 Flexilla has a hose coming out that is supposed to be kink proof and will be rated 3600#.
