Utilizing an impressive 389cc (11.7 hp) engine, this machine's triplex pump can deliver a pressure of 4200 PSI (around 70 times stronger than a standard garden hose) and a flow rate of up to 4 GPM (CETA-certified values). Thus, the Simpson ALH4240 achieves a cleaning power of 16800 Cleaning Units.

To start the Honda GX390 engine of this gas-powered washer, users employ the familiar pull-start technique.

Fuel for the pressure washer is housed in a steel tank capable of holding up to 1.6 gallon of gasoline.

At 133 lbs, we can't really say that the unit is lightweight, and manually lifting or transporting it could be a significant challenge for users, especially if they need to move it frequently or navigate over uneven terrain. The major reasons for its heavy weight are its 389cc Honda GX390 engine, the triplex pump and aluminum frame. Despite this, the presence of two 13" pneumatic wheels reduces the complexity of moving the ALH4240, even on rugged surfaces.

The Simpson ALH4240 comes with a spray gun, a wand, a pressure hose, 5 nozzles and a detergent injection feature, which are detailed below.

• Soap injection: Detergent is fed in through a siphon hose, since the device lacks a soap tank. Once a soap nozzle is connected, the pressure washer automatically blends the detergent with the water flow.
• Pressure hose: Utilizing a set of convenient hooks, the unit offers a convenient solution for storing the included 50 ft ⌀3/8" high-pressure hose when it's not in use, keeping it neatly organized.
• Spray gun and wand: Both the classic ergonomic spray gun and its steel wand may be conveniently stored in a side hook.
• Nozzles: The table below shows you the 5 included nozzles and the surfaces they're the most appropriate for.
