Zoom on the Simpson PS60995

In summary, the Simpson PS60995 is a heavy duty, commercial pressure washer, that offers an all-around versatile cleaning experience, and also:

  • spot cleaning of hard, unpainted surfaces or high reach areas
  • intense cleaning of hard, unpainted surfaces
  • cleaning of painted or delicate surfaces
  • application of detergent and cleaning solutions

Ahead are presented its power characteristics and design, its main features and any other additional features.

Power

Its triplex pump, which utilizes a 196 cc engine, may deliver a pressure of up to 3600 PSI (almost 60 times more than a standard garden hose) and a flow of up to 2.5 GPM. These values correspond to a cleaning power of 9000 Cleaning Units.

A classic pull-start mechanism is responsible for starting the gas-powered pressure washer’s Honda GX200 engine.

Gasoline storage is facilitated by a steel fuel tank with a maximum capacity of 0.95 gallon.

Design & Handling

The wheelbarrow design of the Simpson PS60995 grants mobility and stability to the unit. Its sturdy steel frame provides longevity to the assembly. The reversible handle offers further versatility, as its different positions make the unit less bulky when stored.

The device weighs 85 lbs and thus, is far from lightweight. Transporting and manually lifting it may therefore pose a challenge. The main contributor to its weight are its 196 cc Honda GX200 engine, the triplex pump and steel frame. However, its two 10" pneumatic wheels play an important part in its maneuvrability, as they allow for a smooth manipulation on the job.

Main Features

The Simpson PS60995 comes with a spray gun, a wand, a pressure hose, 5 nozzles and a detergent injection feature, which are detailed below.

  • Soap injection: Detergent is fed in through a siphon hose, since the device lacks a soap tank. The Simpson PS60995 has an automatic soap dilution mechanism, which dilutes the detergent using a 7:1 ratio. If a soap nozzle is attached, the device will proceed to add the detergent to the water automatically.
  • Pressure hose: A neat storage for the included 25 ft ⌀5/16" high-pressure hose is facilitated by a set of convenient hooks.
  • Spray gun and wand: A side hook allows for an easy storage of the included classic ergonomic spray gun and its wand.
  • Nozzles: The table below shows you the 5 included nozzles, as well as the surfaces they're the most appropriate for.

The Simpson PS60995's performance versus other pressure washers

The following charts are provided to give you an idea of how the key specs of the Simpson PS60995 compare to similarly priced pressure washers.

  • The Simpson PS60995, which can reach up to 3600 PSI, has one of the highest pressure outputs of the gas-powered units that cost between $525 and $600.

If the highest overall cleaning power is your top priority, the Briggs & Stratton 20505, which can reach up to 9520 Cleaning Units, is one of the most efficient of the devices in the current price range.

Price comparison

As you can see from this interactive chart, when compared to other gas-powered washers between 9000 and 9500 Cleaning Units, the Simpson PS60995 is on the cheap side of the price range.
