Description
Zoom on the Stihl RB 600
In summary, the Stihl RB 600 is a heavy duty, commercial pressure washer, that offers an all-around versatile cleaning experience, and also:
- precise spot cleaning of hard, unpainted surfaces, reaching elevated areas, and effectively removing stubborn stains
- overall cleaning of hard surfaces, washing vehicles, and prepping surfaces for painting
- gentle cleaning of delicate surfaces, and low pressure cleaning of larger areas
- applying detergents or chemicals, and rinsing surfaces afterward
Its power characteristics and design, its main features and all its additional features are presented ahead.
Power
Powered by a powerful 208cc (7 hp) engine, its brass triplex pump can deliver a pressure of 3200 PSI (around 53 times more than a standard garden hose) and a flow of up to 3 GPM (values claimed by the manufacturer). With these values combined, the Stihl RB 600 boasts a cleaning power of 9600 Cleaning Units.
Starting the Kohler CH270 engine of this gas pressure washer involves using a conventional pull-start method.
Gasoline is stored in a fuel tank with a maximum capacity of 1 gallon.
Design & Handling
The Stihl RB 600 is very mobile, due to its hand truck design and approximate dimensions of D32.8 x W29 x H42 in. The sturdy steel tubing frame ensures the longevity of the assembly, offering stability and protection for internal components, even during rigorous use. The folding handle enhances its mobility, while allowing for a convenient storage.
With its hefty 118 lbs, this unit isn't exactly easy to handle, making manual lifting and transport quite a daunting task, especially on uneven terrain. The major reasons for its heavy weight are its 208cc Kohler CH270 engine, the triplex pump and steel tubing frame. However, the incorporation of two 13" pneumatic wheels makes navigating the RB 600 less cumbersome, even on uneven terrain.
Main Features
The Stihl RB 600's package includes a spray gun, a wand, a pressure hose, 5 nozzles and a detergent injection feature, with a more detailed description below.
- Soap injection: Despite the absence of a soap tank, detergent supply is facilitated through the use of a siphon hose. The Stihl RB 600 is not equipped with a soap dilution mechanism, and thus, it is up to the user to ensure the detergent’s correct dilution ratio when using it. When a soap nozzle is connected, the pressure washer takes the initiative to mix the detergent with the water flow automatically.
- Pressure hose: The included 40 ft ⌀3/8" high-pressure hose can be neatly stored on the unit when not in use, utilizing a set of convenient hooks for convenient organization.
- Spray gun and wand: A side hook enables you to easily store the included classic ergonomic spray gun and its wand. The gun features a rotating auxiliary side handle to further improve the comfort of both left and right-handed users.
- Nozzles: Find details on the 5 included nozzles and their recommended surface applications in the table below.

Had to replace the injector 3 times and the unloaded valve once in 1 year, maybe 8 to 10 houses. Both parts have a spring loaded one way check valve that appears to be made from mild steel. The injector spring and ball corroded to the point that the spring broke. Also, the injector has no adjustment.
The unloaded valve also has a similar setup and it also corroded to the point of not working. This part only sees water,, no chemicals. The injector gets bleach and house wash soap diluted..
Totally unacceptable, I’ve been using washers for 30 years, and my last one was a mi t m who make these for stihl, same chemicals no issues.
