Description
Zoom on the WEN PW2800
The WEN PW2800 is a medium to heavy duty pressure washer, that provides its users with an all-around versatile cleaning experience, and enables:
- spot cleaning of hard, paint-free surfaces and out-of-reach areas
- cleaning of painted or delicate surfaces
- use of detergent and cleaning solutions
Ahead are presented its power characteristics and design, its main features and any other additional features.
Power
Its axial cam pump, which utilizes a 173cc engine, may deliver a pressure of up to 2800 PSI (almost 47 times more than a standard garden hose) and a flow of up to 2.3 GPM. These values correspond to a cleaning power of 6440 Cleaning Units.
The engine of this gas-powered pressure washer relies on an old-school pull-start mechanism to get started.
A fuel tank with a maximum capacity of 0.3 gallon is used to store gasoline.
Design & Handling
With its hand truck design and approximate dimensions of D26 x W19.5 x H39.5 in, the WEN PW2800 provides great mobility. The robust steel frame guarantees longevity of the assembly. The rubber-padded fixed handle adds to the PW2800 convenience of transport, while offering a comfortable grip.
With a weight of 61 lbs, the unit can be easily maneuvered by most users. One of the largest contributors to its weight are its 173cc engine and its steel frame. But, as the PW2800 does have a set of two 12" never-flat wheels, it can be easily maneuvered and manipulated.
Main Features
Along with the WEN PW2800 itself, the package also includes a spray gun, a wand, a pressure hose, 4 nozzles and a detergent injection feature, which are discussed in further detail below.
- Soap injection: Detergent storage is ensured by a 0.25 gal tank. As the WEN PW2800 doesn’t include a soap dilution mechanism, the user must provide a correctly diluted detergent before proceeding to use it. The detergent is automatically added to the water when a soap nozzle is connected.
- Pressure hose: The included 25 ft ⌀1/4" high-pressure hose can be neatly stored on the unit when idle thanks to a set of convenient hooks.
- Spray gun and wand: Both the classic ergonomic spray gun and its stainless steel wand may be conveniently stored in a side hook.
- Nozzles: The following table illustrates the 4 included nozzles, along with the surfaces which they are the most suitable for.

- Accessories: The WEN PW2800 comes with an owner's manual (opens in a new tab) and some basic documentation to get you quickly started. On top of that, you also get spray gun, pressure hose, nozzle cleaner and wand.

The WEN PW2800's performance versus other pressure washers
The following charts are provided to give you an idea of how the key specs of the WEN PW2800 compared to similarly priced pressure washers.
This unit is now discontinued, but used to be sold around $270.
- With its 2800 PSI max pressure output, the WEN PW2800 was in the expected pressure range, for gas-powered units in the $240-300 price range. In case you are looking for a device with the highest possible power of its water stream, one of the top achievers in this price range is the Westinghouse WPX3200 with a PSI of 3200.
- Considering its water flow, this washer, with a GPM (gallons per minute) of 2.3 was in the average compared to other devices in its price range. If being able to rinse away debris as efficiently as possible is your priority, one of the products with the highest GPM in this price range is the Kärcher G3200Q, with 2.6 GPM.
- With the PW2800's 6440 Cleaning Units (PSI X GPM), its cleaning efficiency range was considered average, compared to gas-powered units of similar price. If you consider the highest overall cleaning power as a really important factor, the Kärcher G3200Q and its 8320 Cleaning Units has one of the highest cleaning efficiency of all the similarly priced units.
The bottom line
- Good range of nozzles included
- Onboard storage
- Several security features
- CARB-compliant
- Decent PSI for the price
- Decent GPM for the price
- Decent CU for the price
- No detergent dilution mechanism
