Description
Zoom on the Westinghouse WPX2800
In a nutshell, the Westinghouse WPX2800 is a medium to heavy duty pressure washer that allows:
- spot cleaning of hard, paint-free surfaces and out-of-reach areas
- intense cleaning of hard, unpainted surfaces
- cleaning of painted and fragile surfaces
- application of detergent and cleaning solutions
Ahead are presented its power characteristics and design, its main features and any other additional features.
Power
Its aluminum axial cam pump, which utilizes a 173 cc (5 hp) engine, may deliver a pressure of up to 2800 PSI (almost 47 times more than a standard garden hose) and a flow of up to 2.3 GPM. These values correspond to a cleaning power of 6440 Cleaning Units.
The Westinghouse engine of this gas-powered pressure washer relies on an old-school pull-start mechanism to get started.
A fuel tank with a maximum capacity of 0.3 gallon is used to store gasoline.
Design & Handling
Thanks to its hand truck design and approximate dimensions of L24 x W19.5 x H41.5 in, the Westinghouse WPX2800 offers great mobility. The robust and sturdy steel tubing frame offers longevity to the assembly. The foam-padded fixed handle adds to the WPX2800 convenience of transport, while offering a comfortable grip.
The majority of users will be able to maneuver this unit easily, it only weighs 64 lbs. Its 173 cc Westinghouse engine and steel tubing frame account for a good chunk of that weight. Nethertheless, thanks to its two 12" never-flat wheels, the WPX2800 remains very easy to manipulate and maneuver.
Main Features
Along with the Westinghouse WPX2800 itself, the package also includes a spray gun, a pressure hose, 4 nozzles and a detergent injection feature, which are discussed in further detail below.
- Soap injection: Detergent storage is ensured by a 1 gal tank. However, since the Westinghouse WPX2800 does not feature a soap dilution mechanism, you'll have to make sure your detergent is correctly diluted before use. When a soap nozzle is connected, the detergent will be added automatically to the water.
- Pressure hose: The included 25 ft ⌀1/4" high-pressure hose (2800 PSI rating) can be neatly stored on the unit when idle thanks to a set of convenient hooks.
- Spray gun: A side hook allows for an easy storage of the included ergonomic EnduraGrasp spray gun.
- Nozzles: The table below shows you the 4 included nozzles, as well as the surfaces they're the most appropriate for.
